About Annabel
Annabel has recently relocated to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Annabel is currently getting her family settled into life here in Riyadh.
Annabel used to live in Surbiton with her Husband, their two young boys and their West Highland Terrier, Mollie. Back in the UK, Annabel worked as a singing teacher at Christ's Hospital, Independent School of the Year 2024/25. Annabel also worked as a singing teacher and choir leader for Primary Robins, as part of Grange Park Opera and Pimlico Opera to teach singing in disadvantaged schools and communities. Each year she led and conducted the 90 strong student choir perform their Summer concert at Grange Park Opera House.
For the last 13 years, Annabel has taught privately at her home in Surbiton as well as in Prep and Secondary schools. During 2017-2019, Annabel was Vocal Coach and Assistant Director for London Youth Opera. LYO commissions an opera each year with a cast of 70-80 young people aged 9-18, based in Holland Park.
Alongside her teaching, Annabel worked as a professional Opera Singer, performing with Glyndebourne Festival Opera, English Touring Opera, Garsington Opera, Grange Park Opera to name a few.
Annabel trained to be a professional Operatic Soprano at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal College of Music International Opera School, where she was supported by Coutts & Co., the Josephine Baker Trust, and the Royal College of Music’s Sir Gordon Palmer Award.
A Samling Artist, Annabel has competed in International Competitions and was placed as a semi-finalist in the London Handel Competition, the Montserrat Caballé International Singing Competition, Zaragoza, Spain and the 49th International 's-Hertogenbosch Vocal Competition, The Netherlands.
