
About Annabel
Annabel lives in Surbiton with her Husband, their two young boys and their West Highland Terrier, Mollie. Annabel teaches on a Tuesday and a Friday (09:30-17:30) and on Saturday mornings when available.
Annabel has her own teaching practise at her home in Surbiton. She has been teaching for the last 10 years at her home and in schools. Annabel worked as a professional Opera Singer, performing with Glyndebourne Festival Opera, English Touring Opera, Garsington Opera, Grange Park Opera to name a few.
In 2017, Annabel was appointed as the Vocal Coach and Assistant Director for London Youth Opera. LYO commissions an opera each year with a cast of 70-80 young people aged 9-18, based in Holland Park.
This year, Annabel has joined the team at Primary Robins, as part of Grange Park Opera and Pimlico Opera to teach singing in disadvantaged schools and communities.
Annabel trained to be a professional Operatic Soprano at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal College of Music International Opera School, where she was supported by Coutts & Co., the Josephine Baker Trust, and the Royal College of Music’s Sir Gordon Palmer Award.
A Samling Artist, Annabel has competed in International Competitions and was placed as a semi-finalist in the London Handel Competition, the Montserrat Caballé International Singing Competition, Zaragoza, Spain and the 49th International 's-Hertogenbosch Vocal Competition, The Netherlands.
